Friday
On September 11th, 2001, a tragic event occurred, and lives were lost and injured. At that time, I was in 3rd grade, and ironically, I didn't want to go to school that day because I had a moment of low self esteem. I was a transfer student, and I couldn't make any friends. Compared to my problem, the plane crash at the World Trade Center was severe. Even though I wasn't affected by the event, I remembered hearing the teachers and faculty spoke of the news. I was dismissed early, and although it was a stroke of relief, it wasn't comfortable to hear of the news.
Since that day, there have been many people that mourned for their loved ones and heroes. Friday marked the Memorial of 9/11, and to give my respect I decided to visit the area one week before the memorial. It's been 20 years since my last visit to this area, but everything's been renovated and preserved for the memorial and tourism.
Saturday
While I was getting some new dress pants at Macy's, they played Michelle Branch's Everywhere. It was extremely nostalgic as I roam through the massive department store aisles. What a great tune to jam and shop with!
Sunday
Today was another day of rest. I completed my time card for this week, and I can't wait until Monday for my new project.
